Throughout my career, I’ve noticed something very telling. About 97% of men who come in for ED treatment have one thing in common: they have low vitamin D levels. So why is this vitamin so essential for men’s health, and how do we make sure to get more of it in our bodies?

Low Testosterone Levels in Men
The fact that I treat so many men that have low levels of vitamin D is no coincidence. Studies have shown that low testosterone levels can lead to several problems, including low sex drive and erectile dysfunction.
Vitamin D is essential for testosterone production and blood flow, so it’s crucial to ensure you get enough of it. Low levels can lead to low sex drive and erectile dysfunction.
Testosterone is responsible for sexual function and other male reproductive health. It may be worth checking your vitamin D levels if you are having difficulty getting aroused or experiencing erectile dysfunction.
What is a Healthy Amount of Vitamin D and How to Get it?
Vitamin D is not only beneficial for ED, but it’s packed with antioxidants and aids in things like heart health and lowering inflammation levels in the body.
If you’re experiencing symptoms associated with ED, it might be time for a little blood check with your doctor. When you do, pay attention to your vitamin D levels. I typically recommend my patients aim around a level of 50 to 65. If your levels are around 30 or below, then that is a confirmation it’s time to get more D in your body (vitamin D, that is!).
Besides more sunlight, supplements can be a great way to get your vitamin D levels back up so you can enjoy its benefits. A daily dose of 5,000 UI is what I would recommend you aim for.
Final Thoughts
If you want to improve your sexual performance, take a look inside and see what your body is asking for. Check with your doctor and look for vitamin D supplements with the insignia USP, as other ones might be filled with unnecessary contents that stop you from getting your recommended dose.
Taking vitamin D is so simple, and it would be a shame to miss out on such an easy way to begin reversing your ED. I always recommend that my patients take it, and you should too!
